Lab Technician

Salary - £13.15 per hour

Location – South Mimms, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

We have a fantastic opportunity in South Mimms for a Lab Technician to work for one of our clients. You will be working full-time.

Due to the location of this role, ideally, you will have access to your own transport and be able to carry out some manual task aspects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with order preparation and dispatch procedure in compliance with Customers’ expectations
• Assist in maintaining the production to expected levels
• Interface with the other departments in order to promote best practice and manage customers’ expectations
• Assist with monitoring inventories to ensure adequate equipment supplies
• Produce weekly reports
• Support, as and when requested, the Group Leader
• Participate in the development of individual and group training plans
• Assist with the maintenance of an efficient Quality Management System

Skills and Experience

• Proven animal care experience having handled rodents
• Flexible attitude, willingness and ability to acquire and learn quickly new skills, new knowledge and new ways of working
• Ability to think strategically and able to prioritise work well
• Ability to adapt to situations and handle people of all capabilities and attitudes
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Ability to communicate clearly with other members of the team
• Good personal organisation
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to work under strict hygiene conditions
