Factory Electrical Engineer

Location – Rochester

Salary - £35,000 - £42,500 per annum depending on experience

Hours - 8 am till 5 pm, Monday to Friday

Benefits - 25 days paid leave plus statutory holidays,  PPE + workplace pension

Are you 17th or 18th Edition qualified?

Our client is a well-established company that supplies their products worldwide they have been established for more than 39 years and are still growing, hence why they need an Electrical Engineer to join the team.

Key Responsibilities for the Role of the Factory Electrical Engineer

• Carry out the building of electrical control cabinets from component level
• Construct and build and wire systems electrically and mechanically
• Execute modifications to existing machines/units
• Carry out modifications to existing machines in line with company standards
• Be actively involved in the installation of new and upgrading existing safety systems
• Work alongside with team members on all projects

Person Specifications for the roles of Factory Electrical Engineer

• Must hold the ability to build electrical control cabinets from component level upwards
• Build electrical control cabinets from component level
• Build and wire systems electrically and mechanically
• Must possess the ability to carry out modifications to existing machines
• Candidates must hold a minimum of the 17th Edition qualification
• It is essential the candidate has sound knowledge of safety systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to maintain a strong relationship with colleagues and clients at all levels
• The ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative is essential
• Although the candidate will be Rochester-based, a full driving licence is required for the role
• Ability to work away is essential for the role
• Ability to maintain composure during challenging situations
