Children`s Panel Lawyer

Location – Woolwich, London

Salary- Circa £60,000 per annum DOE

Hours - Permanent role

Do you hold Law Society's Children's Law accreditation?

Are you a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years of experience?


Our client is a renowned multi-service law firm committed to access for justice. Throughout their network of offices, they have built a reputation nationally for delivering exceptional results for their clients and are looking for a Children's Panel Lawyer to join their team. They are a multi-office, multi-service Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners firm recognised for excellence in a variety of legal fields.


As the Children Panel Lawyer, you will


  • Work on cases relating to Children’s Law and related issues, including advising and assisting team members
  • Proactively network and create new business
  • Work proactively independently on caseload
  • Undertake a variety of work including public law, child protection, SGO and adoption matters.
  • Prepare cases from initial inception to the conclusion of the case
  • Undertake own advocacy when required
  • Work on publicly funded cases
  • Any other such matters as required


Skills and Experience required for the role of Children Panel Lawyer


  • Would suit a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years of experience
  • Hold Law Society`s Children's Law accreditation
  • Must hold experience in advocacy and a willingness to develop the skills related to it
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Must have exceptional client care skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
  • Fast and accurate typing skills and spelling
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
