Key Account Manager

Location London - SE,SW, W Postcodes

Salary - Up to £50,000 + Commission

Permanent Full-time role  40 Hours per week with additional hours for events

Do you come from a field sales background within the food and drinks industry?

We have a fantastic opportunity in London for a Key Account Manager to work for one of our clients. Our client is an established and well-known distributor working throughout London, Kent, and the Southeast.


  • Grow and develop both new and existing customer base
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Follow up on new leads promptly
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements to create detailed proposals as part of a formal bidding process
  • Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and promotions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks or opportunities
  • Attend weekly team (via video platform) and monthly all team meetings at HQ
  • Provide ongoing support to your customers to address any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Make accurate cost calculations to provide customers with quotations
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience

  • Previous field sales-based experience
  • Clean driving licence
  • Industry knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Highly organised and able to plan and problem-solve proactively
  • A good level of numeracy
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems including Word and Excel
