Cleaners

Part-time hours available (1 x 16 hrs per week, 1 x 15 hrs per week - all year round)

Salary - £11.44 per hour

Hours - 15 Hours (5:30am – 8:30am, Monday – Friday) OR 16 hours (5:30am – 8:45am, Monday – Thursday, 5:30am – 8:30am Friday)

Location - Rotherham

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general cleaning tasks in designated areas of the college, ensuring a clean, inviting, and safe environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities for the role of Cleaner

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness across various surfaces
• Ensure all types of surfaces are properly cleaned and maintained
• Operate cleaning machines efficiently, following training and instructions
• Ensure buildings are prepared and ready for use each day by safely using cleaning products and equipment
• Report any faults or issues that may pose health and safety risks to the Estates Team for prompt resolution
• Undertake seasonal and ad-hoc deep cleaning and sanitizing duties as needed
• Use all cleaning products and materials according to training and guidelines

Skills/ Qualifications for the role of Cleaner

• Prior cleaning experience is required, ideally within an office setting. This should include the use of various cleaning equipment and substances.
• You must either hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning (or a similar qualification), Level 2 English and Maths, and First Aid at Work certification.
• Highly flexible with the ability to adapt to changing demands, including responding to urgent tasks and providing support to colleagues across the Estates/Facilities team.
