Responsibilities for the role of the Distribution Shift Manager

  • Supervise and direct personnel, including scheduling and training activities
  • Monitor the movement of goods, ensuring precise inventory management and streamlined operations
  • Implement health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and transportation companies
  • Quickly address and resolve any operational challenges
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and oversee budget management

Specifications required for the role of Distribution Shift Manager

  • Background in a distribution setting, supplying retail businesses is essential for this role
  • Strong people management abilities are required for the role
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Essential the candidate has good proficiency in operating a PPT and forklift according to RTITB standards
  • Must have an understanding of legal requirements related to warehouse operations, concerning H&S practices
