Senior Trade Marketing Executive

Location – Sittingbourne, Kent (Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days WFH after probation period)

Salary - £35,000 - £ 40,000 per annum DOE

Hours – Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Trade Marketing Executive

 

  • Create, manage and deliver strategic trade marketing plans for owned and third-party brands across relevant channels (including on-trade, off-trade and wholesale), collaborating with sales teams
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with relevant customer teams and run the activation calendars ensuring plans are delivered to meet the needs of the business, brand and customers
  • Research, analyse and present data marketing consumer and category insights to assess brand and customer performance and make business recommendations
  • Successfully launch branded NPD into relevant channels supported with compelling insight with clear and achievable KPIs
  • Work with sales teams to build and implement plans by account to achieve desired growth, profitability, brand awareness and market share
  • Manage relevant agencies to ensure the successful delivery of trade marketing initiatives
  • Plan, organize, implement and attend trade shows, events, chef seminars and product demonstrations
  • Manage all online and social media content and activities for customer websites ensuring consistency and alignment of brand guidelines
  • Track, evaluate and report trade marketing campaign effectiveness, providing guidance and recommendations for plans
  • Monitor trends within the trade to identify and drive new business opportunities through new/existing product development, communication strategies or channel development
  • Ensure the supply chain is aware of trade marketing activities and plans promptly so sufficient stock is available
  • Translate brand and product marketing initiatives to build marketing ‘sell in’ stories and decks for all key accounts linked to the objectives of the wider business
  • Manage trade marketing budget to achieve commercial objectives and deliver a strong return on investment
  • Manage customer engagement through a range of channels including face-to-face and remote contact to support the achievement of the plans
  • Conduct market trends & customer analysis, looking at the strengths and weaknesses of competitors’ products to help inform NPD and EDP plans

 

 

 

Skills and Experience for the role of Senior Trade Marketing Executive

 

  • Science degree or equivalent experience
  • A university degree in marketing or business is essential for the role
  • At least a minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar trade marketing role, preferably in food and ideally, experience in food service /B2B
  • Will know about different marketing and trade marketing activities, tools and techniques
  • Will have the ability to identify insight and deliver projects through action
  • Mindset that is entrepreneurial and happy to be actively involved
