Assistant Quality Manager

Location - Whitstable

Salary - Our client is offering a competitive salary depending on experience.

Hours – Permanent Full Time

 

If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Whitstable for an Assistant Quality Manager to work for one of our clients who is a rapidly growing avionics specialist and designer and manufacturer of electronic hardware. 

As the Assistant Quality Manager your responsibilities would include:

 

  • Owning and maintaining the quality management system in support of our approvals and certifications
  • Owning and maintaining the environmental management system in support of our ISO14001:2015 certification
  • Performing as the quality point of contact for customers, regulators and certification organisations
  • Planning, completing and preparing detailed reports for internal audit activity
  • Conducting supplier approval assessments
  • Planning, completing and preparing detailed reports for external supplier audit activity
  • Assessing internal and external failures and incidents and ensuring robust corrective action of causes is identified, implemented and measured for effectiveness
  • Act as chair for internal management system reviews
  • Act as chair for multi-stakeholder design reviews

 

 Assistant Quality Manager

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Experience working in a design and manufacturing organisation
  • Will have experience with and high levels of knowledge of AS9100 Revision D.
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO14001:2015
  • Will have experience with and high levels of knowledge of EASA / UK CAA regulations relating to design, production and maintenance of C1 Appliances / C6 Components
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills at all levels and to a varied audience
  • Will have the desire to demonstrate ownership of the role and the confidence to influence the direction of the organisation in terms of improvements to the management system
