Receptionist 

Location – Milton Keynes

Salary - £16.41 per hour

Hours – Currently are 8am-4pm but we can be flexible with this and offer 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm as well. 

Contract – 6 months

 

Are you an experienced receptionist looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a dedicated Receptionist for a 6-month contract in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and provide key administrative support.

 

About the Role

As the Receptionist, you'll be the welcoming face and first point of contact for visitors and callers at the Milton Keynes site. While you won't be tied to the desk all day, you'll play an important role working alongside the Fleet and HSE team to keep the site running smoothly.

 

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
  • Shifts Available: 8 am-4 pm (with flexible options: 7 am-3 pm or 9 am-5 pm)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet and assist visitors, ensuring sign-in protocols are followed
  • Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently and professionally
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and manage courier services
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and book conference rooms
  • Order lunches for employees and visitors as needed
  • Manage office supplies stockroom, place orders, and maintain administrative tasks
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding plant/site shutdowns or service disruptions
  • Issue and maintain badges for new hires, contractors, and visitors
  • Support the HSE team by managing emergency response coordination, fire safety, and first-aid records
  • Administer the pool car booking system and perform regular vehicle checks
  • Assist with various HSE admin tasks, including data entry and compliance tracking

 

Training: Full training will be provided onsite.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar receptionist or front-of-house role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Fleet and HSE teams
  • Candidates must be local to Milton Keynes, as this is a 100% onsite role
