Buyer – £34K – Snodland (Office-Based)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Buyer to join a leading team in Snodland, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role Overview As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the senior buyer and department manager by:
- Managing purchase orders and keeping track of inventory
- Overseeing an open order book across 200+ suppliers
- Providing administrative support and maintaining ERP systems
- Running MRP to ensure timely deliveries and minimise risks
- Monitoring market trends and vendor performance
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations for inbound freight
Key Skills and Experience
- Essential:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent
- Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Desirable:
- Experience in raw material purchasing
- Familiarity with customs processes
- CIPS qualification or studying towards it
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing or construction organisation
