Technician – Plumber
Location: Southall, London (may require travel to other London sites)
Salary: £27.67

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00–16:30 and Friday, 8:00–16:00

Temporary – Ongoing

 

Our client, a leading organisation is seeking a skilled Technician – Plumber to join their team in Southall on an ongoing temporary basis. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites in Southall and potentially other locations in London, performing a variety of tasks, from installations to maintenance, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.

About the Role

 

As a Technician – Plumber, you will:

  • Perform routine and non-routine plumbing work.
  • Carry out new installations, repairs, and planned maintenance to mechanical and heating systems, hot and cold-water plant, equipment, and services.
  • Respond to reactive work requests and assist with minor new installation projects.
  • Escort contractors for inspections and installations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and maintain tool lists.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Required to have a valid Enhanced DBS
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration, or mechanical services.
  • Experience in a mechanical service such as Gas, Refrigeration, or Heat Pumps.
  • Water safety training.
  • Significant experience with all types of mechanical, ventilation, or gas installations and maintenance, ideally within an NHS environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to interact at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying tasks and deadlines.
  • Computer literate for reporting and documentation.
  • Current manual driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to other London sites as required.
  • Willingness to participate in the Department's out-of-hours on-call system.
