Metal Finisher

Location - Sittingbourne, Kent

Temporary – Permanent

Salary - £13.04 per hour – Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Shift patterns available:

Fixed shift - 6am-2pm

Rotating shift - 6am-2pm AND 2pm-10pm

Fixed Nights - 10pm-6am (paid at an enhanced rate)

My client a prominent player in the metal finishing industry is actively seeking to hire a Metal Finisher to join their expanding team.

Full training is provided; however, the ideal candidate will be able to use a variety of hand tools including hand grinders, drills, and wire cutters.

Duties and responsibilities for the role of Metal Finisher:

• General handling of metal products
• Hand wiring and grinding of products
• Involvement in the metal finishing process
• Inspection of products to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Manual handling – heavy lifting will be part of this position

Person specification for the role of Metal Finisher:

• Positive with a can-do attitude
• Happy to work in a physically demanding position
• Able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Previous experience in working in manufacturing, production, yard operative or similar roles
