Electrical Fitter

Location: Stansted, Essex

Salary: Highly competitive DOE

Hours:  39 hours per week (8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 4 pm finish on Friday)

Job Type: Permanent

About the role

 

This role requires hands-on expertise in testing, inspecting, repairing, and overhauling electrical components, including GCU’s, emergency power supplies, pyrometers, and galley heaters. MRO experience would be highly beneficial.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out workshop activities within the Avionics and Heater departments to meet customer demands
  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical components
  • Provide feedback on daily operational issues and update scheduling boards
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations
  • Maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards

 

What we're looking for

 

Experience:

 

  • Previous experience in a workshop or engineering environment
  • Heating system expertise is essential
  • MRO experience is highly desirable

 

Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to compliance
