Assembly Technician – EV Batteries
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm)
Pay Rate: £17.44 per hour 
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our client’s team at their Milton Keynes site, supporting the assembly and testing of EV battery systems. This is a full-time position on a 6-month contract to cover a leave of absence, offering a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a leading, innovative manufacturing environment.

While the primary work location is Milton Keynes, there may be occasional work required at a nearby site, with transport provided via company pool cars.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out both mechanical and electrical assembly work

• Using hand tools, machinery, and test equipment (e.g. volt meters)

• Following technical drawings and work instructions accurately

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment

• Participating in engineering builds, trials, and troubleshooting

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, and process

• Adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical systems (essential)

• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions

• Proficient with hand tools and industrial machinery

• Experience using testing equipment such as volt meters (preferred)

• Previous experience in battery assembly and testing (preferred)

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required

• Flexible, proactive, and quality-focused approach
