CAD Designer

Ramsgate, Kent

£35k - £37k per annum DOE
Office Based | Permanent, Full Time
Monday to Friday - 08:00-16:30 (37.5 hours per week)

 

Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join their growing design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented design professional looking to take ownership of complex projects, work directly with clients and play a key role in developing both products and junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage multiple design projects from client brief through to final delivery
  • Produce accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  • Maintain design revisions and technical documentation
  • Attend client meetings and design reviews
  • Liaise with engineering, project and production teams
  • Ensure designs meet quality, compliance and manufacturability requirements
  • Identify and resolve technical design challenges
  • Support and mentor junior CAD Designers
  • Contribute to improving departmental processes and standards

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a CAD Designer, Design Engineer, Technical Designer or similar position
  • Strong 3D CAD and technical drawing skills
  • Autodesk Inventor experience highly desirable
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience managing client communications and project coordination
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to review work and support junior colleagues
  • HNC, HND or Degree in a relevant engineering or design discipline desirable
