Hands-on Caretaker needed in Medway to keep a modern innovation site running smoothly. Varied maintenance, porterage and site support role with autonomy, stable hours and out-of-hours overtime opportunities. Ideal for a practical, reliable all‑rounder.

6 Month contract 

Salary: TBC

Key responsibilities include:

    • Opening and securing buildings

    • General cleaning and presentation of internal areas

    • Setting up meeting rooms and moving furniture

    • Porterage and delivery of bulky items

    • Basic maintenance, including painting, minor repairs and replacing light bulbs

    • Preparing offices for new tenants

    • External upkeep, including litter picking, jet washing and gritting

    • Managing bins and smoking areas

    • Weekly fire alarm testing

    • Overseeing contractors on site

    • Supporting the Centre Manager with ad-hoc tasks

    • Providing occasional out-of-hours support

What our client is looking for:

    • Practical handyman skills

    • Experience in painting and decorating

    • Ability to repair and maintain facilities

    • Good attention to detail

    • Awareness of Health & Safety

    • Fire Marshal or First Aid experience is desirable

    • Reliable, approachable and organised

This role is based primarily in Medway, with occasional work across other local sites.
