Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Ashford
Contract: Permanent
Rate: £60,000 – £70,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm)

Our Client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and enhance their finance function. You will manage a small team and play a key role in driving improvements, implementing change, and preparing the department for future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reporting.
• Line manage a team of three within the finance department.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead the implementation of SAGE and provide ongoing system support.
• Identify and execute process improvements to streamline workflows.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background.
• Professional qualifications preferred: ACCA, CIMA, or AAT.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on approach with a passion for implementing change.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAGE essential.
