Food Production Machine Operator (Fruit Plant Operator)

We have an excellent opportunity in Sittingbourne for a Fruit Plant Operator to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be Working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern with start times between 06:00 and 14:00 in line with the business requirements. Due to our rural location, it is essential that the successful candidate has their own transport.

The successful candidate will be producing fillings following the production plan ensuring that the product is manufactured safely and efficiently to achieve the customers delivery and quality expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of manufacturing equipment in line with the company H&S policy

• Quality and food safety throughout the process

• Follow the production plan ensuring batch cycle times are achieved

• Follow product recipe and manufacturing method

• Ensure all stock and labour usage is recorded accurately

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following CAYG principles

• Provide a detailed handover at shift change to the incoming operator/area Supervisor

Skills and Experience:

• High levels of numeracy and literacy

•  Ideally have previous experience of FMCG or food manufacturing and machine operation

• A certificate in basic food hygiene and HACCP would be desirable
