Installation Engineer

Location: Maidstone, Kent – UK-wide travel

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 DOE

Full-time | Permanent

Our client is a trusted provider of automatic gate and barrier systems, delivering high-quality installations and servicing across the UK. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with electrical wiring experience and gate safety knowledge.

You’ll be working on both fixed and mobile systems, including SOSEC and INSTABOOM barriers.

Key responsibilities:

• Routine servicing and reactive repairs of gates, barriers, and access control systems
• Commissioning and maintenance of mobile barrier systems nationwide
• Accurate online record-keeping and force testing to DHF TS011:2019 standards
• Safety upgrades and repair work with quoting support
• Customer-facing work with a focus on professionalism and presentation
• Team collaboration and independent working
• Participation in call-out rota (1 week in 4), with occasional weekend work

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience with gates/barriers/bollards and a understanding the electronics/logic systems is essential
• You must hold a ECS ticket
• Gate safety knowledge
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
