Salary: £12.71 per hour

We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join a busy catering team at a school in Canterbury. This is a temporary role with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a friendly, fast-paced kitchen environment.

About the Role:

Working Thursday to Saturday, you’ll help maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the school kitchen, supporting the wider catering team with dishwashing, surface cleaning, waste removal, and basic food preparation as required. Occasional late finishes or additional hours may be necessary, depending on the school’s needs.

What you’ll need:

• An enhanced DBS certificate – either current or registered on the Update Service
• Previous experience in a similar kitchen or cleaning role (desirable)
• A strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• A commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety
