Job Description

MIG Welder

Location: Kent
Salary: £16.10 per hour
Job Type: Permanent & Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm

Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is looking to recruit experienced MIG Welders to support continued growth within its fabrication department.

This is an excellent opportunity for welders seeking long-term stability, regular daytime hours and the chance to join a supportive engineering environment.

The business is looking for individuals with proven professional welding experience rather than hobby or occasional welding exposure. Candidates must be capable of working to a good standard and be able to demonstrate previous training, qualifications or industry-recognised certification.

 

Note: Due to the location, candidates must have access to their own transport.  A paid trial is part of the interview process.

The Role

  • MIG welding of manufactured components
  • Bench welding and fabrication work
  • Reading and working from production instructions
  • Preparing materials for welding
  • Maintaining quality standards
  • Supporting general fabrication and production activities
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum one year's professional welding experience
  • MIG welding experience gained within manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Relevant welding qualification, certification, apprenticeship or training record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and committed approach

Desirable Experience

  • Apprenticeship-trained welder
  • City & Guilds qualification
  • Fabrication experience
