Plumbing Lecturer

Location: Snodland
Salary: £33,762 - £44,027
Job Type: Part-Time, 18.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary-Permanent

Our client, a leading further education college group, is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to Plumbing Level 3 Apprentices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional or educator looking to inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

 

You will deliver engaging lessons covering the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard, supporting learners to successfully achieve their End Point Assessment. You will also play an important role in monitoring learner progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to curriculum development.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to Plumbing apprentices
  • Prepare learners for successful End Point Assessment
  • Track and monitor apprentice progress using college systems
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources
  • Participate in learner progress reviews with apprenticeship skills coaches
  • Maintain accurate student and course records
  • Support curriculum development and programme enhancement
  • Contribute to recruitment, interviewing and induction activities
  • Build and maintain effective employer relationships
  • Participate in college events, open evenings and enrolment activities as required

 

Candidates should have:

 

  • Relevant plumbing industry qualifications minimum - Level 3
  • Demonstrable plumbing industry experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Effective administrative and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm within a changing educational setting
  • Teaching, assessor or apprenticeship experience would be advantageous
  • A current and valid ENHANCED DBS or willingness to obtain one
