Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement, supplier relationships and global sourcing for a growing HVAC and building controls leader.

 

Purchasing Manager

Edenbridge, Kent

Salary: DOE + Benefits 

Hours: 8am-4.30pm 

Permanent

 

We are supporting our client, a fast‑growing organisation within the HVAC and building controls sector, in their search for an experienced Purchasing Manager. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on strategic procurement, supplier management and driving efficiency across a global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead the SIOP process, ensuring safety stocks are maintained
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand
  • Identify and deliver cost savings safely and effectively
  • Manage supplier relationships and lead contract negotiations
  • Own key supply chain KPIs, including OTD, stock days and inventory value
  • Oversee purchasing activity using Dynamics Connect (or similar ERP)
  • Manage and develop a direct report (Buyer)

 

Experience Required

 

  • Proven procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors
  • Strong ERP competency (Dynamics Connect or similar)
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record of securing favourable terms
  • Understanding of logistics operations and supply chain optimisation
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and ethical sourcing
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking ability
