Quality  Inspector

Salary: DOE + Benefits, Pension, Training & Development, 25 Days Holiday

Our client, a well-established precision engineering company, is looking for a Quality C Inspector to join their engineering team. You'll be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials against drawings and specifications
• Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
• Use measuring equipment including callipers, micrometres, and gauges
• Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation
• Identify non-conformances and raise Supplier NCRs
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality issues
• Support quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement activities
• Carry out first-stage inspections on customer returns

About You

• Previous quality inspection experience within manufacturing or engineering
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Familiar with quality processes and inspection tools (ISO 9001 desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good IT and communication skills
• Organised, proactive, and a strong team player
