Quality Supervisor

Location: Whitstable, Kent

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Our client is a Kent-based manufacturing company with a worldwide customer base and a reputation for high-quality products used in harsh environments. Operating in competitive markets, they are committed to continuous improvement and are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to lead their quality initiatives.

You’ll oversee goods-inwards inspection, process control, and data analysis, driving improvements across production. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-based role requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Reducing variation through process control and quality plans
  • Goods-in inspection
  • Developing and maintaining quality control procedures
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance
  • Analysing data to identify root causes
  • Collaborating with sales to resolve customer issues
  • Implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Maintaining accurate quality records
  • Ensuring calibration of quality control equipment
  • Leading continuous improvement projects
  • Reporting on quality performance

 

Candidate requirements:

 

  • BTec or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in manufacturing quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with quality control tools/software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Root cause analysis expertise
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of plastic moulding, press tool work, machining, and assembly operations is advantageous.
