Skills Coach – Maths and English

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Salary: £28,732 per annum

Hours: Full Time 

Contract: Permanent

Enhanced DBS within the last three years required.

Join a passionate team dedicated to improving educational outcomes in maths and English. As a Skills Coach, you’ll work directly with learners and curriculum staff to deliver impactful workshops and one-to-one support, helping students overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving learner progress in English and/or Maths through tailored workshops and support.
• Facilitating small group and 1:1 coaching sessions.
• Supporting learners with digital literacy to enhance their learning experience.
• Collaborating with curriculum and cross-college teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Monitoring learner progress and adapting support plans as needed.
• Contributing to the development of innovative learning materials and methods.
• Supporting exam preparation and, where necessary, assisting in full group sessions.

What we’re looking for:

• A proactive, learner-focused individual with a passion for education.
• Experience supporting learners in English and/or Maths.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and Prevent.
• A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive education.
