6 month contract
£45k - £50k (pro rata)

Working Location: Tadworth, Surrey - Tuesday to Thursday
Home option - Monday & Friday
Role Summary
An exciting Brand Manager contract position has become available within one of the UK’s biggest healthcare providers;  Our client is focused on a key global brand within the UK Multivitamin, Mineral & Supplements category, this role would be reporting into the Marketing Director and offers exposure to the full marketing mix, budget & agency management, as well as global stakeholder management, .
Based at their head office in Surrey, this role offers full day to day control, planning and execution of the 2019 operation plan, as well as creating the necessary long term growth plan for continued brand health and success.

Role Description 
To grow your brand through developing strong, consumer-focused strategies and plans that delivers sales and profit in line with agreed business objectives in the UK. To lead local cross functional teams to engage, understand and inspire our consumers, customer and colleagues.

Ideal candidate
This role requires a strategic and creative thinker, with a keen interest and/or prior experience within the health & Wellness FMCG environment. A successful candidate will have an open and challenging approach to breaking barriers and creating engaging plans as well as past experience managing a breadth of global stakeholders. We seek a self-motivating Marketer who is determined, prepared to take risks and has the ability to galvanise internal & external teams.

• Create and communicate the vision for your brands throughout the business
• Build and implement 3 year brand strategies as well as annual plans for your portfolio
• Manage the brand P&L to deliver against financial targets and maximise ROI
• Manage the brand marketing budget and give recommendations for optimisation 
• Own the campaign planning, execution and evaluation across all elements of the marketing mix, ensuring positive ROI is achieved
• Proactively review and adjust portfolio and investment strategies to maximise business delivery
• Evaluate, prioritise and launch NPD into the existing brand portfolio
• Lead cross functional project teams and collaborate closely with Sales and Sales Strategy to ensure the brand meets customer needs and that sales and marketing plans are fully aligned
• Liaise effectively with Local, Cluster and Global Marketing to provide input, agree direction and share assets and learnings with other markets
• Attend retailer meetings to present brand strategy and plans
• Manage the corporate relationship with key agency partners, especially media and creative 
• Lead analysis of brand in market performance providing recommendations for optimisations

Performance Measures
• Consumer sales growth and market share targets met
• Annual net sales and profit budgets met
• Execute agreed brand plans to time and budget
• NPD (brand extensions) launched on time and achieve financial objectives
• Personal growth and development against company values

Technical skills required
• Highly P&L literate
• Ability to coordinate complex and interrelated projects
• Strong sense of urgency and desire to achieve objectives
• High level of IT literacy in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Experienced user of AC Nielsen/IRI and Kantar shopper data
• Experienced understanding of retailer EPOS and Shopper demographic panels

 Qualifications & Experience
• Extensive (3-4 years) B2C brand marketing experience within an FMCG or OTC environment
• Track record of developing winning plans across all elements of the consumer marketing mix
• Full understanding of the UK communications landscape and extensive experience of creating and executing full 360 media and touchpoint campaigns
• Successful experience of agency relationship management and budget control 
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage the delivery of the brand P&L
• Strong influencing skills with an ability to interact effectively in a matrix environment
• Understanding of the UK retail trade & UK Consumer/Shopper trends & dynamics
• University degree level or equivalent
