We are currently looking for a Validation Engineer to join our client and assist on a custom battery pack project at their Milton Keynes site.

Our client is a leading power-generation Manufacturer, with their Milton Keynes site dedicated to their Electrified Power division.

This role requires some travel to various test sites as well as working at the site in Milton Keynes. Strong experience in testing and validation (4+ years) is essential for this role.


About the role

This product-focused position verifies and validates the functionality of battery pack products across a wide range of customer requirements.

You will plan, track, and evaluate results from a wide range of functional tests to assess product risk and performance. The results are expected to drive quality decisions and resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtains input on Design Verification Plans to define technical requirements, delivering an optimised component-based plan to the project team.
  • Makes decisions in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.
  • Investigates and addresses potential component concerns or issues, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action.
  • Applies and supports the improvement of processes such as technical requirements, iDFMEA, Engineering Standard Work (ESW), DVP&R, test planning.
  • Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with a greater degree of technical complexity.
About the candidate:
  • Experience within test & validation roles for minimum 4 years
  • Capable of working on High Voltage systems Battery system
  • Good knowledge of CAN and vector tools
  • Able to use CAD to create test documents
