Sales Executive – Full or Part-Time


8.30am – 5.30pm M-F (FT) or 9.30am -2.30pm M-F (PT)

£24,000 to £26,000 (FT) or Circa £11.50 per hour (PT) + Bonus + Pension 

Based in the centre of Redditch with fantastic transport links 
Established and thriving International transport and shipping business
Proven Business to Business, Service Industry background. Strong numeracy and literacy required  
Business Development and Key Account Management, Office based with occasional visits 
Friendly and energetic team

Main Job Function:

To participate in new business development and account management of existing clients. Increasing company sales and profits.

Responsibilities of the Sales Executive will include:

  • New business development through telesales (Occasional client visits)
  • Key Account Management
  • Generating & Calculating Freight quotations / tender documents
  • Ensuring that the quotes are completed promptly and are followed up to maximise conversion
  • Drafting and sending appropriate sales correspondence
  • Follow up calls
  • Managing the sales process from quotation through to successful job conclusion.
  • Developing long lasting relationships with new clients
  • Supporting the sales team in their sales efforts

Experience required of the Sales Executive:

  • Proven Sales experience in a business to business service industry.
  • Proven success of handling and calculating RFQ’s and tender submissions.
  • Experience of negotiating with clients and or suppliers.
  • Key account management experience with proven success of developing relationships.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Confident communicator. (Written and verbal)
  • A positive and engaging personality.
  • Can do sales / customer service orientation.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure.
