Development Manager 

Maidstone

£10.00 Per Hour

Our client, an established property management company located in Maidstone, is currently looking to recruit a Development Manager initially on a temporary basis.

You will be working 15 hours per week – ideally 3 hours per day or consider 5 hours on 3 days in the week (to be agreed) the candidate will be required to start work on Friday 18 October 2019 subject to interview. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking daily checks of residents, unless requested not to do so and disclaimer signed by resident concerned.
  • Being available for residents during working hours and being available in the office for specific agreed periods each day.
  • Acting in the event of an emergency and calling the appropriate authorities where necessary.
  • Having a full understanding of the different types of equipment on site (i.e. communal laundry machines, lift) and ensuring they are fully operational, regularly serviced and maintained.
  • Liaising with contractors when work is being carried out on the premises.
  • To ensure that the Residents are aware of the need for security and that no unannounced visitors (other than the regular contractors) gain access to the building.
  • Always Deliver professional and friendly communication and ensure next of kin are aware of any concerns as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular coffee mornings, in consultation with the Social Club/Residents, and provide feedback to residents on any works or events that are ongoing or planned.
  • Encourage and support the existing RTM Directors and other relevant groups at the development.
  • To arrange cover for days off, holidays and illness in conjunction with the Line Manager, and ensuring that the person covering meets the requirements of this job description.
  • Maintaining a daily diary of events of the development.
  • Process invoices within delegated financial authority level.
  • Maintain account records and collect monies in respect of any development bookings, and any other agreed monies and bank in line with Company Policy.

Person Specification

  • 5 GCSEs at A – C or NVQ level 2/3 standard.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills.
  • First Aid.
  • Current DBS (Disclosure of Baring Service) Check.
  • Previous experience of working in a customer service environment is essential.
  • Experience of working in other people property related sector/industry.
  • Experience of monitoring contractor services against quality standards.
  • Understanding of equality issues and how they affect customer services.
  • Understanding of office systems and procedures.
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet) at intermediate level.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
